Color Pencil Portrait Study.

Here is my first attempt at using color pencils for a portrait study. Using analogous within the color wheel, by using cool colors (violet,blue-violet,blue,blue-green,green) to go with his calm look.

A little rusty but I'm glad I was able to paint, not knowing it was even a graffiti contest I was just grateful to even get a chance to paint a wall and got an unexpected win at the end. A nice ending for 2015.

Late night charcoal sketch sessions with my little. She's awesome. First photo was inspired by my brother's pug "Curly", second photo was a box of spray paint. (my daughter was sketching jesse from toy story) :)
